You…Yes You…Get Up.

“I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” sound familiar? I would hope so… have you ever been knocked down? If you said no then I am truly impressed and I must know your secret, so please do comment below if you said no to that question.

Chances are you said yes though, we all have been knocked down in some way, shape or form. Whether it be emotionally, physically or even spiritually we all have felt the thud of failure, mistakes and bad decisions. Remember this though they say that if you don’t have mistakes then you aren’t trying hard enough, but on the contrary they say mistakes mean you are trying. So either way looks to me like you have not laid down and threw your hands up quite yet and if you have well hopefully I can inspire you to get back up and get back to it.

Do NOT give up, do NOT lay down and let the world trample you and most importantly do NOT let that stinky ole’ good for nothing devil rejoice in your defeat, him or his little henchman for that matter. They have absolutely no right to rejoice when you fall, because you cannot be defeated with God and His angels beside you.

Every day we can fly or fall, run or stumble, walk or lay down. We can keep trying or we can give up. I know it is hard injuries happen, mean words are said, actions are done, people say ridiculous things without thinking about it. Offenses will come, failures will fall, bad tastes in your mouth will happen.  Grab some Listerine and keep pushing forward.

Good afternoon friends and family.

Can I just say the response to yesterdays blog was incredible and a confirmation that this is something special to those that read it and even to me. As many of you may have noticed I have not been posting blogs for the past two months. I felt as though no one was reading them and it was a waste of time or that is what that devil was trying to tell me. Between this time yesterday to now I have had more people talk to me about it than ever. Words cannot describe the joy that brought to my heart; that each person that has commented on it or spoke to me in person, the encouragement it has given them or a friend of theirs.

I am so honored to be able to share my heart and though from time to time I know I will step on peoples toes, it is my pleasure to be an encouragement to those that stumble across my posts. On my usual posts I have had about 40 views give or take, yesterdays blog has had 118 views so far. Wowza!

Sharing our hearts can be difficult and the enemy will constantly tell us to just not do it, to go on with life and to never share anything with those around us. But, I take great joy in knowing that the thoughts and feelings that come to my spirit can be a blessing to those around me. God has given each of us gifts and talents and I am glad that I can share my heart with you. It is my hope that I can continue to be a blessing to all of you.

Happily Ever After, or something like that.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Prince or Princess in a classic romance? Where everything seems to go in a million different ways then finally ends up being all perfect and grand. You know the ideas fiction books are made of. The things we tell kids to hold onto while they are young and then we tell them to get their head out of the clouds and face reality when they get older. Yeah that…

Every boy or girl, man or woman has a dream and a hope for that special someone to come into their life. To be loved like they have never been loved before, but too often are told they are crazy or grasping for much more than is humanly possible. Guess what… If the world thinks it is impossible maybe it is by people standards, but by God’s standards maybe it is possible.

You see the funny thing is we search and wait, search and wait. We run to all the wrong places we grab the interest of people who are the opposite of who we are. We are lost if we are single and alone and never truly happy if we are in those fake it to make it relationships.  It is a never-ending cycle and then bam finally Mr. or Miss. right comes walking in… and everything seems to just click. But what if there was a relationship that was used to make you a better person and to help bring the right person into your life, what then?

Do you lose hope that every relationship is just another building block in the wall of the you, is it just another step to make, another risk to take. Or do you pick up the pieces once more and try, try again. Been there bought the T-shirt you might be saying, well we all have we have all been in a relationship that left us in the floor crying thinking what did we do wrong, what could we have changed. I know I have.

It is no easy task to walk away from a relationship and put the pieces back together because in the end that person has kept some of the pieces whether they know it or not. We build it back up and along with it a wall that seems to be unbreakable to those looking in. They see the faces, feel the emotions and walk away because maybe they don’t want to deal with it, or maybe they stay and we push them away time and time again because we don’t want to feel that hurt again.

The truth is this; people will come and people will go in our lives, it is in this cycle that we gain new knowledge and new experiences on the journey to our best self. We know who we are, but different people bring out different things in us, and with that we learn something new, something unique. We then take that new knowledge and apply it to building our lives towards that which God has intended for us to be.

Hold on my friend, God has a plan for you. Do not believe what the world may say that you will never find the right one. Believe me I have had my days where I have wondered what if I don’t find him. Each and everyday I am reminded of a promise that God has given me and that my mom and dad have prayed for years and still to this day. In the right place, right time and right moment Mr. Perfect and I will find each other, he will not find me or me him, but rather WE will find each other. It is not my job to wonder when or how, but to simply know that in God’s perfect timing it will come to pass and what a glorious day that will be.

Speak LIFE!

You are not good enough, you cannot do that, you will never be that, you will never get a chance to do that, you will never get into that relationship. You are crazy, you are dumb, you are not pretty, you are not handsome, you are not tall enough, you are too fat, to short to skinny, you have chicken legs, your hair is not the right color, your outfit was so last century, you play an instrument, you play that sport, you draw, you sing. You are a Christian, you go to church, you raise your hands in church, you pray before you eat. You CANNOT live THAT life.

Now that I have hit you with just a few of many of the negative things we hear or say ourselves. Our mouth can sometimes be a blessing and a curse. It can speak life and death with just one word. The tongue is like a bit in a horses mouth wherever you want to take that horse you pull it in that direction and with that bit the horse will go. Your tongue is the same way, you say something negative you are speaking that negative into existence. Speak positive and you are speaking positivity into existence. How do you want to be remembered? By the nasty mouth you spouted all those cursed words and negative statements from or by the encouraging words that uplifted people and gave them hope?

I don’t know about you, but I would rather spend my days raising people up and seeing them prosper rather then tearing them down and leaving them wondering why they even exist at all.

One word can change a persons day, week maybe even their entire year! Did you ever think of that? One action, one word can be the difference between life and death in someones path you cross. You have the chance everyday to make a positive difference in someones life and their current circumstance.

So my final question is this will you lift someone up today or tear them down? Will you be the one who lifts that person out of a dark hole they are in or are you going to be the one to push them further in that hole? It is your choice.

“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NLT

Have you ever found yourself in a daydream, thinking what if I could be that or do this? What if I could be more than I am, more than what this world says I am, more than what I limit myself too?

Life is full of choices, it is a never ending decision between what to do and not to do. This is what creates the framework for the men and women we become, and what we will ultimately contribute to this earth. Do you want to be the average joe or jane and just live this life to get by and make it to your grave or do you want people to remember you for the man or woman you were. What you did, what you said, the lives you changed, the invention you made there is no limit to what you can do, but that which you allow yourself to believe. When you are laid to rest 1991-Date what will that dash mean, will it be just a dash, or will people think of all you were.

So the question is this, What do you want? Where do you want to go? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do?

Life is full of moments, and in those moments we are full of inspiration and passion for an idea and in a split second that moment can be gone, what we do in that moment could ultimately define the people we become, maybe you say yes to a relationship purely on a whim that you believe that it is for you and then you later find out maybe it wasn’t, maybe you should have said no, maybe you should have walked away. Moments… good and or bad, they will come our entire life, what you choose to do in those moments can set you on a new path or lead you further down the one you are on. Maybe your tired of being the underdog at your job and in a moment you get the desire to be better then you have ever been before, do it grab on to it show the bossman why you deserve to get that next promotion.

Maybe your like me and your moment seems like it is way too big to ever believe you could achieve it and the very idea of believing in it seems crazy and out of reach. Anything worth doing comes with risks, the question is how much are you willing to risk to achieve that which is on your heart… how far are you willing to go, how far are you willing to fall. Are you willing to work countless hours to achieve something so unfathomable in order to complete an even bigger goal and dream. I am quickly learning that though my moment seems far off and far to big to comprehend that I serve a God of making the big stuff seem a little more attainable with complete trust in my Heavenly Father. He is a God of making the impossible, possible He doesn’t lay things on our heart for them just to be there, if we want it and are willing to go for it, He will make a way it may take weeks, months and even years to get there, but with God nothing is impossible.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:4-5 KJV

In closing I will say this, this past year has been a huge growing experience in my life, my heart has been tested and ultimately God has wrapped it in His loving hands and told me that it will heal and that He has so much better for me, I need only to wait and trust in His promise. So I am, I will wait upon the Lord and I will continue to trust in Him and strive for that path that I believe He is guiding me towards the path may be long and winding, but after the past year He has brought me through I know He can bring me through anything. I have not come this far in my 24 years to lay down and give up now, I know in my heart that God is going to use me in an incredible way and not even words can describe how excited I am to see where exactly that is.

I hope that in whatever moment you find yourself in you look to the one who gave you that moment and you seek His will in your moment. Trust Him the moment might seem like the hardest decision you will ever make, but ask yourself is the risk worth the benefit? Does the value outweigh the cost? God Bless

Success is in the eye of yourself.

Have you ever heard the term their eyes light up when they talk about that topic or maybe you have felt it. That racing feeling in your chest when you talk about something you are passionate about, something that no one else understands or feels, but it can be the best feeling.

If you are doing a hobby, skill or talent and you feel this way chances are it is something you love, you don’t just do it because someone has told you to, or you have to. But because you want to, you are willing to go above and beyond to get better, to get stronger, faster, more confident whatever. You wake up early for it and go to bed late for it, you study it, you find new ways to learn more about it and do it. It has become more than a hobby, it is now a lifestyle, but what if it is not just a lifestyle what if it is a gift. A gift being something that God has given you to share with people…an avenue for you to share God through.

We each have different gifts and talents, some is music, others sports or arts. We each are uniquely different because we were created to be that way. God has given each of us passions and things we enjoy and find joy in, just because we find joy in them and that passion does not always mean it is going to be easy, maybe you are in a place where you are going through a rough patch in your art, do you give up and walk away or do you find another way to keep persevering and continue to advance and trust God’s Will.

God doesn’t test us to see if we are faithful, but rather to show us that He is faithful and that if we trust Him in due time we will reap what we have sown. Injuries will come, we will fall, we will be knocked down and told to just give up. We may lose everything to pursue our gifts, but in the end how will we ever reap the reward if we are afraid to fail. Mistakes are the simple truth that we are trying, the true measure of who we are is in whether we get back up or we stay down.

We may lose the support of our family, friends and whoever else is close to us, but guess what there is always one person beside us and He is our greatest fan He knows us better than we could ever imagine knowing ourselves after all He created us long before we were ever born and just when it was our time to make our grand entry He placed us with the perfect loving family.

The best form of payback is a comeback, a success, an overcoming of whatever we have faced. The world may be against us, but our Heavenly Father  is standing in our corner through every take down, trial and hurt.

What is your gift, what makes your eyes light up, your heart race, that tingling feeling flow through your body? What do you dream about, think about, catch yourself gazing off the distance imagining? What is it?

What has God blessed you with that you can use to further His Kingdom. You might think you are not strong enough or big enough, you might not even be old enough, guess what age is just a number as is height and weight. You are bigger than all your problems, you are stronger than all your enemies, you are smarter than all the bullies. When you fall get back up, when you feel like you can’t take one more step, crawl one more inch.

Before you can run you must walk, but before you can walk you must crawl. Never forget success does not come overnight, faith would be easy if it could though now wouldn’t it! We are so stuck on being comfortable, we grow old and eventually meet our final days wondering what if. Become uncomfortable try new things, if you haven’t found your gift keep looking for it keep seeking it, never settle with just living paycheck to paycheck or day to day. There is so much more to this life then a life full of things, rather a life full of purpose is worth so much more.

God doesn’t call the able, He calls the willing heart. The one who is going to stay the course and keep trusting that no matter what may come that God is going to be faithful. The light is about to turn on, just keep holding tight to the promises.


“Don’t, enemy, crow over me.
    I’m down, but I’m not out.
I’m sitting in the dark right now,
    but God is my light.
I can take God’s punishing rage.
    I deserve it—I sinned.
But it’s not forever. He’s on my side
    and is going to get me out of this.

In closing I will say this… do NOT stop, do NOT lay down and the world tell you are not good enough.

“God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”

God Bless my dear friends I hope this inspires you like it inspired me, the devil is throwing all he can at me, but I absolutely refuse to lay down and let him get the victory, God is about to use me and I am going be my best self for the Kingdom.

I AM…Perfectly Me

I am tall, I am quiet, I am sarcastic, I love God, family, country and corps. I stand up for the bullied and love the unloved. I speak my mind when the time is correct, but I first listen to the situation before me. I believe there is nothing I cannot do with God beside me. I will not back down from my dreams no matter what everyone says. I will be a role model to people of all ages, because that is who I am. I will not let the things of this world influence me. I will stand up for what I believe is right and true, because that is how I was raised and I choose to live this life. I am… perfectly me.

I may not be perfect, I may not have it all together, but I am putting my best foot forward and holding tight to the promises God has spoken in His Word. I might not always say the right thing at the right time. I may have a stern face when I should instead wear a smile. I may laugh when I should cry, or cry when I should keep a strong face.

I am human… I will mess up, I will offend you, I will say something that you don’t agree with and thats ok, judge me for me if you must, but you don’t know what I may be going through at that moment just like I may not know what you are going through.

I will be there when you call, lift you up when you fall and do everything in my power to help you, because that is what I am called to do, I may not have all the money in the world or possessions, but I have something greater, something worth more then every currency in the world and every high dollar item on the market. Your words may hurt me, but God give me the strength to forgive you and turn the other cheek. You are my brother or sister, my friend, my family the one I stand up for when the rest of the world may turn their back on you.

I have a God who loves me more than life itself, He gave up His life willingly so I could live free of my sin, and have forgiveness for all the wrong I have ever done and will do. No matter how far I may stray He is always calling me back to His arms. Because of Him I show joy, because of Him I can face the day with a smile on my face, because of Him I know I can make it to my goals and dreams. I know I can strive for a dream because He has given me the ability to achieve it. Not to just dream it, to do it. He has picked me up, dusted me off, healed my hurts and dried my tears. He has embraced me, He has comforted me and He has set my feet back on the rock.

It is Him that it is greater then all the possessions in the world and every amount of money. It is the peace and understanding He surrounds me with, the joy I feel when I see the beauty of His creation and fellowship with other believers. It is the knowledge that no matter how rough the road may get, He is there.

I am single, I am honest, I am trustworthy, I enjoy photography, drawing and writing. I love music especially instrumentals, I love Jiu Jitsu and other Martial Arts, Basketball, Volleyball. I enjoy community service whether that be Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity or whatever.  I am strong minded, independent and confident in who I am. Not because I am stuck up or snobby, but because I am who my Heavenly Father says I am…

Who are you… are you perfectly you? Or are you who the world says you are? Who does God say you are?

Beauty is in the eye of my Heavenly Father, not of this world.

It has been awhile since my last blog, but I am back and I believing that this is going to be a blessing to my friends, family and yes those who are just stumbling upon this.

Have you ever felt like you were being judged for an action, outfit or just life in general? Have you ever wanted to run and hide because someone said something bad about you?   Have you ever just accepted what the world has told you, because that was just simpler?      I am pretty sure we all have…

I have come to a place in my life, that I truly am confident in who I am in this world. I might like my sweat pants and t-shirt outfit more than I should, but guess what I like to dress up and wear my heels too on occasion. People may say what they want to say about my outfit, but what they don’t know is that on the inside I am proud of my sweat pants or even my 3 inch heels 🙂 . I am so tired of people bringing others down. I am tired of this world saying what is the ideal body type. I am who my Heavenly Father says I am. I am beautiful, I am confident, I am able to do anything that God has for me to do.

Through every hurt and every pain I have ever experienced God has been there, whether it be a tingle, a tear or just an embrace from a friend or family member. The God of the Universe loves us just the way He created us to be, but until we can look in the mirror and see that we are perfect and just getting better and better we will live in doubt. You may not be where you want to be, but you are on a grand adventure to the you God has planned.

Find that confidence, fall deeply in love with the idea that there is more than magazines and TV’s idea of what beautiful is, what handsome is. Exactly what we are is beautiful, it doesn’t matter what the world says. People that persecute you, that make fun of you, that judge you are jealous of you! Don’t let the devil get the glory for this life you live. Reach out your arms to the one who loves you more than you love yourself.

God is on the move and it is my hope that you can grab hold of this wonderful love that is spreading. Believe me the devil comes everyday to steal, kill and destroy this live we live, and for every move of God the devil will come again and again. Stand strong with your brothers and sisters in Christ that are there for you to stand with you through every storm. People will come and go, but God is always faithful!

Believe me you might think my life is all sunshine and rainbows, but I have my fair share of attacks from the devil, he tries and tries to steal my joy and my future. l refuse to let him, when he knocks me down I find myself getting back up and praising my Heavenly Father again. You might say why does God let things happen, it is a trial, a test to see that even through the storm if we will stay faithful. I am believing that God is about to “bless my socks off” I don’t know how or when, but I can feel it God is making things happen that I cannot even see. I am keeping faithful on the promises that God has said.

So again I say and I will say it until I am blue in the face, you are beautiful and your beauty is seen by your Heavenly Father do not let the eyes of this world tell you what is perfect. So wear what makes you feel beautiful, do what brings you joy. Live life as God has planned for you too, reach out and grab it and run with it! Take the first step and God will guide your way.

Forgiving the Past, Looking towards the Future

Good Evening friends, family and even strangers!

This morning I attended my church (The Sanctuary of Jacksonville) what a message Pastor Jon had for us today! Let it Go Part 2! You might be saying Let it Go seriously a “Frozen” themed message! Ha yes in a way, but guess what I guarantee this message will get you thinking and ultimately bless your socks off.

The theme is based on this “Your Destiny is Greater than your History” the past is the past and if it were meant to be your present it would still be there. You see. Unforgiveness can sadly travel with us forever, one offense can make a world of difference 20 years down the road think about that. A past relationship, a snide comment, action or whatever. Are you still holding on to it? Did you know that? That one little past offense could be holding you back from your best self?

Never let a word someone said to you in the past hold you back from a future that is impossibly wonderful and blessed by God! Wouldn’t you love that.

I can truthfully say I have forgiven those in my past for things they have said in my past, things they have done etc. The peace I feel in my spirit is beyond comprehension it is truly breathtaking. God is on the move in this life, who knows where I will end up with Him steering this ship, but I am ready to get these hands and feet dirty and help build up the kingdom.

So no matter what your past offenses have been, let them go like sweet Elsa has been singing in the hearts and minds of children and some adults!

A dream is a wish your heart makes, when your fast asleep.

Walt Disney couldn’t have wrote it better, then the above title. “A DREAM is a WISH your heart  makes, when your fast asleep.” Have you ever had those dreams you wake up and were like if only that was real! Then again there are those crazy dreams that wake us up with a confused look on our faces like where in the world did that come from, what did I go to bed thinking about or maybe what did I eat? You then spend 20 minutes placing the pieces together of how your father was a milk man with a room full of dairy cows in the house. That dream was in fact one of my family dreams haha good memories, but onward we go!

Dreams are wonderful, especially when life starts moving in the direction of those dreams, not always, but sometimes life takes a turn towards what you have been wishing for what you have been praying for and when that happens you feel happiness, joy, encouragement and even strength to continue on that path.

Personally my dreams are coming into bloom finally, and to say I am excited would be an understatement I am so ready to see where my dreams are headed and where God is leading me in this life. The trail is slowly becoming visible and I am so excited to begin taking steps towards that ultimate goal. One day I hope to be in a position to be a role model to young people, and to the world. I feel in my heart that somehow some way God has a bigger plan for me then to just work a day job and go home to my family whenever that family part comes into play 😉 .

I have always enjoyed mentoring people and encouraging them and even building them back up when they have fallen down. My wishes are prayers so for me I will take Walt Disney’s old term and change a few words. Dreams are the prayers your heart makes, when your learning who you are.

I have said it before and I will say it again we each are unique we each have different likes, dislikes, goals, desires, dreams, hobbies and skills. Every dreamer has their own dream, no two dreams are exactly alike and to one person your dream might seem strange and to another the coolest idea they have ever heard. Maybe you want to be doctor, lawyer, NBA star, UFC fighter, detective, teacher, musician, whatever it is that is on your heart let no man or woman tell you, you can’t achieve it, hard work and never losing sight of your dreams is the make or break. If the world says its impossible, GOOD prove them wrong trust God that if it in His great plan for your life that He will bring you through it, over it or even around it to achieve it.

It is my desire that this blog can be a reminder to never give up on your dreams and to never throw them away for someone because it will make it easier. Live your life as God intended you to, to be the hands and feet of your generation and to serve the body in the manner God created YOU to do so.
