You are not good enough, you cannot do that, you will never be that, you will never get a chance to do that, you will never get into that relationship. You are crazy, you are dumb, you are not pretty, you are not handsome, you are not tall enough, you are too fat, to short to skinny, you have chicken legs, your hair is not the right color, your outfit was so last century, you play an instrument, you play that sport, you draw, you sing. You are a Christian, you go to church, you raise your hands in church, you pray before you eat. You CANNOT live THAT life.
Now that I have hit you with just a few of many of the negative things we hear or say ourselves. Our mouth can sometimes be a blessing and a curse. It can speak life and death with just one word. The tongue is like a bit in a horses mouth wherever you want to take that horse you pull it in that direction and with that bit the horse will go. Your tongue is the same way, you say something negative you are speaking that negative into existence. Speak positive and you are speaking positivity into existence. How do you want to be remembered? By the nasty mouth you spouted all those cursed words and negative statements from or by the encouraging words that uplifted people and gave them hope?
I don’t know about you, but I would rather spend my days raising people up and seeing them prosper rather then tearing them down and leaving them wondering why they even exist at all.
One word can change a persons day, week maybe even their entire year! Did you ever think of that? One action, one word can be the difference between life and death in someones path you cross. You have the chance everyday to make a positive difference in someones life and their current circumstance.
So my final question is this will you lift someone up today or tear them down? Will you be the one who lifts that person out of a dark hole they are in or are you going to be the one to push them further in that hole? It is your choice.
“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NLT
