The Good, The Bad and Don’t Forget The Ugly!

Our days are constantly filled with a whirlwind of emotions one minute we are up next minute we are down and the next who knows maybe we are in the corner crying. Have you been there? Lord knows I have, you feel like you have come to the end of your rope where there is no where else to go, no other steps to take, no one else to hold on to.

When all hope is gone, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It can be called cliche by many even a play on words, but the fact of the matter there is truth in this statement no matter where your religion standpoint is. Whether you were raised in church or not there is always a light at the end of the tunnel you may not see it, but it is always there. You just have to look  past all the darkness that is surrounding you.

It is easy to see that light when everything is going your way, when there is no sign of turmoil in sight. Am I right? Its easy, but as soon as that bad or especially that ugly come creeping in we automatically raise our hands and go “Nope, guess I will just sit down and give up.”

When did it ever become ok to give up, to lay down and become a rug for the world to step on and trample? Do you not have a dream, a goal, a desire to do more, to be more. Doors open and close everyday in our lives, it is a never ending cycle, but guess what when one door closes another one opens, have faith that when a door closes God will open a window for you or perhaps another door.

The truth is this a delay in answered prayer is not a sign of denial. Just because your prayer was not answered the same day does not mean God said nope, next to it, He is testing you to see your faith in the situation, He wants to build you up when you feel as though you cannot go on. When everything makes no sense at all… Trust Him. When you cannot see any sign of God…Trust Him. He is always always there and He will be faithful to you.

Do not give the devil acknowledgement in a situation, no matter how bad it may seem; look to God and believe that He will bring you through it. God uses our lives each and everyday to teach us and to help us grow. “God will not send what is right until you stop acknowledging what is wrong.”

Do not have faith for just a week, a year or even just a day keep the faith, keep trusting God even in the small things.

1“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you. “For in fact, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness will cover the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you [Jerusalem] And His glory and brilliance will be seen on you. 3  “Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4  “Lift up your eyes around you and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from far away, And your daughters will be looked after at their side.                                                                                          Isaiah 60:1-4 Amplified Bible.

Tonights message at church (The Sanctuary of Jacksonville) was absolutely incredible and I hope that this can be  blessing to you, I hope that these words can inspire you and give you some hope that there is in fact more to this life then all the bad things that go on, that there is still hope for a future and for you to be greater then you can ever imagine, because after all we can only see so far, when our Heavenly Father can see every corner and dead end that is to come. Lean fully on Him and trust that He will surely direct your paths.

Thank you for reading and I pray each of you have a blessed evening.

God Bless,

Lindsay 🙂
